Although not a restaurant, this is the best Chinese takeaway in hove. The prices are very reasonable, the food is very good quality, with most Chinese food, it can be quite greasy, but not mandarin garden, the food is lovely, & very good portions as well. Based at the grenadier, it's very easy to get to. My only criticism is the fact you can't pay by card, you can only pay by cash which is a shame.

Perhaps I need to try Mandarin garden again, it's been a while since I ordered from here so perhaps the management had changed or improved somewhat. It isn't that the food is bad - on the contrary it's absolutely delicious, not at all greasy, large portions and packaged properly. However, a couple of times we've waited quite a while longer than we expected to get our food! Once over an hour and a half...
